The name musical saw is dedicated to that first guy who looked at a saw and said "I can play that" I have nothing but respect for that kind of natural and simple innovation, and that is where our primary influence stems from. Looking for never before mixed layers of simple concepts and a total absence of arrogance and pretentiousness in the delivery is why we are here.

Our live performances are aggressive and unique, and we bring something new to the stage every time we get up... our song selection is an ever changing mass of tunes, that if ever counted would sit around 5 or 6 hundred cover tunes and over 50 originals. Our instrumentation is a constantly changing thing because every single one of us plays no less than 3 instruments very well. We are all songwriters, performers and vocalists.

We are not another hippie jam band, classic rock bar band, Chicago blues band, proper jazz group...aka modern classical... we don't play techno, house music, hip hop or modern country. Frankly, we give no claim to any genre, but they are all intact within our influences, and the lessons taught by the masters are definitely applied to what we do... But, with all that said, we will play songs you know, in a fun exciting way and allow you to experience something truly new all at once.
